You would not have thought there would be much joy in Karla’s life.
Her father was murdered when she was just a baby, and her mother struggled to feed the family alone in their impoverished neighborhood in Guatemala.
But ChildHope has been there for Karla, and her family, every step of the way — and today, as a 12th-grader, she says:
“It has been a great blessing to study at the school from the time I was
very small because I have learned to love God in spite of what happened to my family.”
Even when Karla’s mom hasn’t been able to provide a Christmas celebration … ChildHope has been there, making her holidays merry and bright. While this year’s Christmas celebrations will look different due to Covid, we will provide gifts to every child and Christmas meals to the neediest of families. Thank you for sharing the joy of Christmas with more children like Karla again this year!
