Give Hope to Children in Need — And Save on Taxes, Too!

Dear Friend,

This year is ending — a new one will soon begin!

And in this season of joyful anticipation at what lies ahead, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to share Jesus — and hope for the future — with impoverished children in need … and enjoy significant tax benefits, too.

It all happens when you support our ministry together through ChildHope by year’s end.

A few of the most popular, tax-wise ways to give include:

  1. IRA rollover. People age 70-1/2 or older can donate up to $100,000 from their IRA without adding a penny to their taxable income. Plus, your generosity will count toward your required minimum distributions!
  2. Appreciated stocks and property. If you’ve held an asset for over a year and it has appreciated in value, you may be able to donate it by December 31 and avoid capital gains taxes — in addition to receiving a charitable gift tax deduction!
  3. Cash. Any monetary donation you make — when dated and postmarked, or given online at childhopeonline.org, by midnight, December 31 — may apply toward your 2017 taxes.

But more important than the tax savings, your generosity will make an eternal difference across Latin America and the Caribbean — helping transform the lives of children in need with the Good News of Jesus and through education and other ministries of compassion.

Should you have questions or desire more information about tax-wise year-end giving, please talk to your personal financial advisor — or contact Regina Rogers at 417-862-8500 ext. 111 or [email protected].

Thank you again for your partnership in bringing hope to impoverished children, their schools, and their communities. Merry Christmas — and Happy New Year!

For the children,
Phil Schmidt

P.S. Multiply the impact of your gift to ChildHope! Many companies offer their employees matching gifts for charitable giving (up to 100% in some cases). Let us help you find out if your company has a matching contribution program. Contact Regina Rogers at 417-862-8500 ext. 111 or email [email protected] and let’s work together to set up your matching gift.
