Year-End Giving: A tax advantage for you — and HOPE for children!

The year’s end is a great time to give to ChildHope — you’ll be helping impoverished children come to know Jesus and find hope for the future. And you’ll receive a great tax benefit. Some tax-wise options for giving:

A rollover gift from your IRA. People age 70-1/2 or older can give up to $100,000 as a rollover from their IRA without adding a penny to their taxable income. Plus, a gift like this counts toward your required minimum distributions.

A gift of appreciated property or stocks. If you have held an asset for more than one year and it has appreciated in value, you may be able to donate it by December 31 and avoid capital gains taxes — in addition to receiving a charitable gift tax deduction. An outright gift of cash. This may be applicable to your 2017 taxes when dated and postmarked (or given online at childhopeonline.org) by December 31.
